I have also been experiencing this problem since moving to Intrepid, but
not at first. I noticed it first one or two weeks ago, but it is now a
daily occurrence. Alt-Tab does not fix it. Only Ctrl-Alt-Backspace
restores the mouse click.
I am running 32-bit Intrepid on a Dell Latitude D820 notebook

I am using an nVidia card with three monitors using Xinerama. Beryl will
not start because of "No RandR extension" so I ran xrandr directly from
the command line and received this "Segmentation fault (core dumped)".

I am having the same problem with the Music Applet and Audacious under
Karmic Koala (64-bit). The play button does not change to a pause button
while playing, so there is no way to pause music. Clicking the play
button again restarts the song.
