Well, you have five duplicates and three people in this thread
confirming it. You also had a patch with two people claiming it fixed
the problem. I would venture to say that the original bug was confirmed
long ago and fixed.
I would't know, though, because Ubuntu shipped a default app which
didn't
I'm not sure. It was broken for a month. I believe it was fixed, but I
had left by that time. It may well be broken again.
As I said, though, I can't test it.

This bug doesn't only occur when shutting down. On AMD64, yanking the
drive without unmounting leaves the drive entry in Nautilus (though it's
obviously inaccessiblebesides what's already in cache). Inserting the
drive again makes a duplicate entry with "_" appended. The first entry

Well, I guess that's one way to dispose of a bug. So for Hardy, the
warning was just removed altogether (probably due to the change to
gvfs), the now invalid shortcut in Nautilus is visible but unaccessible,
and the eight-month-old bug is marked invalid.
It's a new low in bug fixing.
