I don't understand why point at /etc/alternatives/java??
But I'd love support for two firefoxes installed at once.
and use galternatives, update-alternatives to switch between them.
There are a number of plugins that don't work yet in firefox 3 and it's SLOW!!

Okay, didn't realize that firefox-2 is available for download
(specifically because it wasn't visible in the galternatives screen).
