It seems to be a problem of misconfigured BIOS. In the first place I had
to enable "USB Wake support" in the bios (v.A09) in order to allow the
computer to wake up. Before that, it would just not wake up at all and
needed a hard reboot to do so. I'm not sure that Linux is at stake at
all.

I do not have windows, but I suppose that the same would apply on
windows. It seems to me indeed that when the computer is woken up, the
operating system doesn't even have a clue (as I can see in the various
logs in /var/log) that is gets started up from scratch instead of being
woken up from S3 mo

I could not reproduce that bug using the live CD for 1 hour. Given that
I'm not using unity, given that the bug happens in a way that is very
unpredictable (sometimes 2-3 times in a row in 10 minutes, then nothing
for several days), this does not mean that this bug is fixed. I'm not

0.5.5b released. Plenty of new features!

I continue to get randomly logged out. This is really annoying.
I tired to install xserver-xorg-video-intel-lts-utopic-dbg, but I get
not much more information in the Xorg.0.log:

Once the nfs is stale, you just can't start inkscape anymore (it hangs),
so there's no possible action from the GUI in the preferences.
I solved it by editing the file ~/.config/inkscape/preferences.xml, and
set to 0 the variable maxrecentdocuments. The initial value is 36.
