Well... Did you read my report? 6 months to wait and having the "it's a
feature" answer... Well..
As a matter of fact, the problem is not with the fsck integration
itself, which I find great (that's written in my report, too) but a
small ergonomics problem with a "press ESC" text that shou

OK, Adam, I'm sorry. I thought you belonged to the Ubuntu team, I don't know
why.
It was late... Maybe I should use goggles and do some multiplications first ;-)

Hi,

OK-- I'll try that.
Meanwhile I have new info: I tried a fresh install from knot3 on that
same computer. It worked... until I updated to the latest packages. I
think I saw at least the kernel being upgraded.
I'll try /dev/sde1 but I find it strange since my disks are all udma.
Anyway, thanks for
That's fixed!
Your solution did *not* fix my problem-- but looking more closely at the
messages I saw that the new kernel found an unexpected hda drive.
In fact I have an unusual config with two on-board disks and one off-
board (on a PCI controller). Previous kernels named the on-board disks

Hi,
I'm now using hardy beta and I recently discovered that the splash

But the message is n
That's good news!... but I don't find it yet in packages.ubuntu.com...
Will it be in Gutsy?
Thanks,

Good news: I found a workaround- but it's not pretty.
If one uses the ijs driver instead of the *recommended* default

only available via an application that is not installed by default
(system-config-printer).
