here is a dvd. And ubuntu 16.04.
When I insert that dvd, it does not show anywhere, neither in launcher
nor in nautilus.
But I'm able to read that dvd using vlc through menu media / open a
disc.
I can manually mount that dvd with
sudo mount -t iso9660 -o ro /dev/sr0 ~
…I no longer have this problem a day later…

It seems the problem does not occur with Firefox 46 on Ubuntu 16.04 - at
least after 30 minutes… - on the same machine core i7 haswell graphics.

As suggested in this thread https://forum.ubuntu-
fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1989216 installing gtk2-engines seems to solve
the problem on that machine running U14.04 with intel core i7 haswell
graphics and no proprietary graphic driver.
But on the other machine running U14.04 with nvidia graphics an
