In other words.
As soon as you use Chromium as a snap, the icons / pictures in
notifications are not correct ( usually fallback to a generic one ).
Compare with Chromium on other systems or with other web browser from
same website, on the same system.

that should be readable by other app's.
No snap can use /tmp by sandboxing design. It's also a problem in Gimp
and its plugins for example. Or in Thunderbird when dealing with

when clicking on a .deb it's file-roller that gets launched by default,
instead of an expected .deb installer ( be it through gnome-software-
local-file.desktop or any package-manager ).

When looking for an app' it's quite confusing it's listed twice ( or
more ), one on top of the list and one at end of the list.
I can think of 2 ways for ending confusion.
1. Add the packaging type to name of app

when plugging a usb-thumb or external hard drive or any other storage
media ( phone… )
I expected them to appear in the dock.
Instead, they appear on desktop which forces
- to leave current activity to look at the desktop,
- or to open nautilus to find the new device.
Minimize single windows on click was neither a default behavior in Unity
dock but at least the option to do so became available. I really hope it
will also become available in Canonical-Ubuntu.
As is, many features from Unity dock are missing in gnome-shell-
extension-ubuntu-dock.

The first one has worked for me from ubuntu 08.04 till ubuntu 12.04.02

Hi,
when run through (gk)sudo in 16.04.1
- gedit has no global or locally integrated menus, instead it falls back
to CSD but withouth the cog for accessing important features ( search,
replace… ) !
- - Nautilus, synaptic… have no global or locally integra
I've noticed yesterday the same kind of problem with ubuntu 14.04 :
whatever the size of gdebi's window, the box height where dependencies
are listed doesn't ever change. It keeps the same size and only two
lines of the list are shown yet there are more lines in the list.

If never-automatically-show update-manager icon in launcher is intended
behavior it sounds dangerous as most (new to ubuntu) people would
probably not go further to manually update…
At least there should be a reminder somewhere - it also used to be an
indicator for that some time ago.

I've noticed problems with accented letters since few days in 16.04
Unity :
- in window title bar, accented letters are replaced with « square
symbols ». It happens in all softwares when windows are not maximized.
Once maximized, accented letters are c

Strange… today I still have the wrong behavior : there are pending
updates to do but few hours after booting, still no update-manager icon
nor notification…

But icon for update manager never automatically shows in launcher - as it
