/etc/default/portmap is not used and nowhere to be found.
With no confirmations, I wonder if this was just a local issue.
Remi, I'm going to close this bug report, if you can provide the exact

I know this is a very old bug report (thanks for reporting it) but it
doesn't seem to have any +1's and there's some information missing for
being able to reproduce or understand it.
Please if you are still experiencing this on a currently supported
release of Ubuntu, open a new bug report with

I can't see this as being an SRU for hardy given its stage of support.
In 10.04 and later, mountall handles this by re-trying NFS mounts after
every interface comes up.
Given that, I'm marking this as Won't Fix.

I'm not sure this is still an issue in releases with mountall, which I
think is everything 9.10 and higher. With mountall every time an
interface comes up it tries to mount all the NFS filesystems.
So, I'm closing this as Fix Released. Please re-open if it affects a
supported release.

mountoverflowtmp no longer exists as of 9.10. For 8.04, this is not
critical enough for a Stable Release Update. So, closing as Won't Fix.

I don't believe 9.10 and later have this script, as mountall decides
when to run fsck on the root filesystem. With Hardy's desktop support
ending in less than 6 months, I'd rather not have peoples' limited time
spent testing this fix to Hardy, so closing as Won't Fix.
