Cheese hangs on startup here on Hardy. Should i use this bug report or
start new one?
CamStream works fine. But, when playing with camStream, i could hang the
computer too when i tried to set the resolution to VGA. Using QCIF
(default) and SIF screen size in CamStrem worked OK.

I tried the test case using Feisty (gcc 4.1.2) and:
- boost 1.33.1 (tar file from official site). Failed.
- boost 1.35 (SVN version). Succeed.
Nothing else was different.

The version you get in Openwengo site is really good for daily use. I
recommend it as workaround, since i use it myself on Edgy.
Any version compiled by anyone is not going to be "that good'. Openwengo
and GCC 4.1 known issues, QT 4.2 issues, CMAKE migration, etc.

I installed the latest mainline kernel and it still fails:

The workaround for me is to use the last kernel that works:

If I try to uninstall a snap using Ubuntu Software it asks for an Ubuntu Single
Sign-On account. It seems strange since if I use a terminal and do:
$ sudo snap remove john-the-ripper
Everything works as expected.
BTW: Ubuntu Software takes ages to find out the size of the s
