while VLC moves its full screen to the first screen. I have a dual head

I had a similar issue with saving to a network share (smb). The error
message was the same, and I believe that is the default error when
saving a document fails. I had a document open and had already saved it
to the shared drive previously. I left the computer alone for a while (7
hours or so) and

I found that when copying large files over my network to my NAS drive
using the terminal, they would finish correctly, but when using Nautilus
to copy the files it would always bring my network connection down. Not

upgrade and subsequently tried to install Hardy Alpha 1 and it wouldn't
boot properly after install. So I gave up on Hardy, reinstalled Gutsy,

Sorry for the lack of response lately. I haven't had the time to install

It happens every time I open any PDF document. In Karmic and previous
versions a PDF opened with the settings (page width, side pane or no
side pane) as the last document opened.
In Lucid, it always opens with the side pane and uses about a quarter of
the display. I can maximize and close the side

why. As an example, I received two PDF documents from a company related
to the same thing. One opens without the side bar and is in full mode

Confirmed on my Lucid partition. I seem to have all the installations
needed. One of my printers is an HP OfficeJet. It's recognized by SANE
but not cups.
I can't connect to http://127.0.0.1:631/printers/ either.
My printer configuration is blank and I cannot add a printer due to it
being grayed

I was able update mscore to musescore (Beta), but there were a few hoops
to jump through. The Beta is considered as a downgrade and must be
forced with Synaptics. It will result in an error message, and one needs
to use the Computer Janitor to get rid of mscore-common and the sound
fonts.

Bad news - I didn't have mscore installed on the desktop so it went
right to a clean install of the beta. Reproducing the error will have to
wait until Lucid is officially released and I update my Karmic
partition. I don't risk files on Alphas.

where the Beta is available for installation. The laptop had 0.9.6
prerelease (2438?) installed while the desktop had none at all.

I have two computers running Lucid. Both have the same issue when
entering a password for the first session time.
After entering a password: it doesn't matter if it's in a terminal or
any other application requiring a password, the system logs out.

Affects both of my Lucid computers as well. The laptop runs the Intel
915GM while the desktop runs NVIDIA.
Also, both will not shut down. It seems to be related.
None of the Karmic versions are affected.

I have a similar problem in that not all applets load at boot time. The
time applet displays the time the system booted, but does not advance
visually. New items with applets launched do not appear in the panel,
but are there if fished around blindly.

This bug has NOT gone away in -15 as I had hoped. I do not sit at the
computer all day as consequently miss notifications of tasks and
appointments as the applet is not there. Ditto for things like apport.
Would someone at least acknowledge that I have a confirmed (2 separate
computers) bug?
