There seems to have been a recent update in Jaunty that self-corrects
the frequency after a minute or so and the speakers then behave well.

Still a problem in Jaunty (Alpha 3). I'm sure I've heard this exact
noise - much like an electronic machine gun - before, perhaps a much as
25 years ago, likely when I was putting together a sound system and the

I may have the cause, but not the reason why my display goes berserk
from time to time. I have two Windows utilities; PopTray and a Weather
Network applet which I have been running under Wine in the system tray.
Upon launching, the display flashes ghosts of icons or whatever else is

Same problem in Jaunty Alpha 3 watching a video on CBC News. I have an
Audiohub and oddly the usual ticking sound after a restart stopped at
the same time as he crash and the video and sound continued to work even

After today's updates to Karmic I cannot boot my Jaunty partition,
receiving an error 15. Prior to the updates there was no issue. I used
to be able to edit the system files using nautilus-gdsu, but that file
appears to be deprecated in Karmic, as it uninstalls critical files if
selected for instal
In my case it seems to happen when pressing 'Enter', but infrequently. I
recall entering a task in Thunderbird and pressing Enter to edit,
composing an email message and pressing Enter for a new paragraph and

Very odd indeed - I have three accounts at my bank, two of which open
normally with Evince. The third crashes Evince on loading. I also have
Accoread installed which opens the problem statement normally.
I tested all three accounts going back three months and the result was
the same.

I went to the linux summit in san diego and talk to Jeff Baillie, a

Ok, I spoke too soon. The bug reappeared after it was working for a
while. It happened after I unchecked animated pull down as it was choppy
with more than 1 tab.
