I finally managed to have a closer look at this problem.
First of all minitube depends on phonon and phonon depends on phonon-
backend-xine | phonon-backend. Means that if no phonon backend is

Upgrading to version 2.2 would fix bug #409407 and bug #335578. With
amarok 2.1.1 lyrics are no longer displayed and covers are not fetched
from amazon. I think the risk would be small, because even beta1 works
very good for me and probably 2.2 will be released in time.

Yes, bug 409407 would only need improvement for an existing patch. For
bug #335578 we would have to change a major feature of amarok, I guess
that this is not really a good idea, if 2.2 is ready to use.
