Any updates to this issue? Any fix reported yet? Have same issue with
fresh 8.04 (2.6.24-16-generic and no old kernels) install using b43 wlan
driver. Can connect to Open and WPA APs, but not WEP. Company WLAN is
WEP which is a problem...

Reporting same issue here, installing the libgnomevfs2-extra library
(which had it's own dependency-- libsmbclient) fixed the problem. Fix
should simply be to make libgnomevfs2-extra (and its own) a dependency
for rhythmbox.

Having exact same issue-- vpnc-connect and network-manager-vpnc both
authenticate and bring up tun0, but vpnc-connect sets up routes properly
and network-manager-vpnc does not:
