I saw this on an install of xubuntu 11.10 i386 on a Thinkpad T42 laptop,
so I tried booting up the CD and shutting down again. Out of maybe 12
shutdowns it froze 3 times. Intermittent, difficult to reproduce. It
looks a lot like bug #628630 - the code that Colin Watson identified
there in /etc/init
This bug appears to be fixed. Go to Nautilus preferences -> Behavior ->
check "Include a Delete command that bypasses Trash". The action is
bound to shift-delete by default.

capabilties' then read CAP_SYS_ADMIN. If you run cupsd in the
foreground (-f) then you will probably see it log an error at the point

conditions in window startup. I ran the test case with "sleep 1" added
between the calls to eog, and did not see a single instance of this
gdk_x11_window_get_xid() crash. Previously that would have been enough

hardware. If you run in a VM it is unlikely that a backlight will be
present - afaik VirtualBox/QEMU do not emulate a backlight. It would be

I installed the dbgsym packages and ran valgrind again to get the full
stack trace. Note that this is for the current oneiric packages not the
PPA. I captured two crashes. Hope this helps.

Me too -> chromium-browser segfaults on maverick. Uninstall moonlight-
