Dear Mr. Kossick,
I do not want to push the power button to shut down the computer as I think
such operation may be harmful to my hard drive. Before I upgrade the system
from Ubuntu9.04 to Ubuntu9.10, There was no such problem.

Yes, I installed Ubuntu using wubi and then upgraded it to Ubuntu 9.10.
After the upgrading, I found the shut down problem. After installed some
updated yesterday, the bug has been fixed. Thank you very much!
