Have you had any luck with this bug yet? It does seem to be the same as
bug #190095. My laptop is a Sharp TN10W (not Acer) but I have the same
problem. This is new in Hardy - Gutsy did not have this issue.

I've gone through most of the values in /etc/default/acpi-support but I
can't seem to get anything to work on my computer.
I noticed that in your dmesg (as well as in mine) it has "PM: suspend-

support it definitely says HIBERNATE
Tormod, that fixed it, thank you so much! I had no idea /etc/default
/acpi-support wasn't doing anything. The only remaining hibernation
"issue" I have is the fan revving up to full speed for a few seconds,
but I can live with that (and it happened in Gutsy too, so I'm used to
it). I wonder if t

I've got this bug too with an MX1000 mouse and MX5000 keyboard. The
weird thing is that the bluetooth manager shows the keyboard and mouse
as connected (when they are asleep), but if I manually disconnect and

I've got part of this bug too, in 8.04. Most of the time, my MX5000

have another mouse handy so that I can open up the bluetooth preferences

I had the same problem. As a workaround, try adding "noapic" to the

correctly.

That's embarrassing... for some reason I thought just removing "quiet"
gave me all the messages. Looks like there's a more defined problem,
anyway.
Here's where it hangs:
[ 29.435837] ACPI: PCI Interrupt :02:0b.0[A] -> GSI 23 (level, low) ->
IRQ 19
[ 55.735467] hdg: lost interrupt
[ 8
Workaround found by adding hdg=noprobe. I believe hdg might be the SATA
drive containing windows. Without the hdg=noprobe, I cannot get any
information from this drive at all - gparted hangs while trying to list
devices, and fdisk -l /dev/hdg just blinks a cursor at me. Perhaps this
is not a bug
