I tested 3.13-rc8 and it has the same problem: After resuming my PC freezes and

I closed my notebooks lid and came back, more or less, 3 hours later, when I
lifted the lid the fan was blowing quite fast and I only got a black screen
with white cursor on it, the cursor did not move, had to switch the notebook
off by pressing power button.
After booting
With the ltest upstream kernel I left my PC with it's lid closed for 2
hours and the problem did not occur.

@Christopher - I tested Precise 12.04.3 LTS and on four times I tested
suspension two times I got Xorg crash.
I managed to attach the crash report to this bug if it is useful.
I am quite sure I used to suspend my PC without problems, not sure in what
release, Precise seems quite a lot time ago,
@Christopher: So I tested Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS (Precise Pangolin) from the link
you gave me, and the Xorg crash did not occur.
So I will now continue with bisection up to Saucy in order to identify the
offending commit.

Christopher, I have tested Quantal 12.10 and I got no crahes. I got an Xorg
crash testing Raring 13.04.
I would like to attach the crash file to this bug report, but if I try
"ubuntu-bug -c _usr_bin_Xorg.0.crash -u 1238902" I get an error: "ERROR: The
launchpadlib Python module is not installed.

I started having Xorg server crashes from kernel 3.8.0-35 on wards. Up to
kernel 3.7.10 I had ho crashes after suspension (that is until Ubuntu Quantal
Quetzal no crashes, from Ubuntu Raring Ringtail I stared having crashes).

get to the timezone window, you are not able to input the timezone city in the
input field.
You can click on the map to change timezone, but you cannot enter it using the
keyboard.

Do not understand why sometimes you can change the partition size entering the
numbers in the size filed, and sometimes not.

But this time I was installing on a USB key with one single ext2 partition.
When I got to the partitioning window, I deleted the ext2 partition and then

So I can affirm that if you delete all partitions on a USB key both from
the beginning before starting install or after on the partitioning
window partitioning does not work any more in ubiquity.

The second time I carried out an install using this same image but carrying out
a "install entire disk" installation, keyboard detection worked.
I did the same as the prevoius install (I had carried out a "manual
partitioning" one), selected irachi keyboard, pressed on detect keyboard, and

I do not understand why, but the second time I lauched an install using Ubuntu
Desktop amd64 ISO

not have problems writing the timezone city using the keyboard, so this problem
may not always occur.

I currently have Ubuntu 12.10 installed with kernel 3.5.0-19-generic.
I tried to install nvidia-current drivers using "Additional Drivers" and now
installation worked without any error.
