In every kernel update, the new kernel seems to be incompatible with the
NVIDIA driver, especially with the one bundled with NVIDIA CUDA
installer. The kernel update can continue, but this bug results in the
frequent inability to load the X Window during system startup.

I am using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx.
I am using gnuplot 4.2 patchlevel 6.
I used gnuplot to plot a 2D graph, and fitted a quantity using the "fit"
command. Then when I returned to the 2D plot, I found that the cursor
coordinates shown o
As an example in the attachment, the cursor coordinates can deviate a
lot from the axes values.
