On a freshly installed system I tried installing fglrx-updates and got a
"instalation failed" message in jockey, but the drivers regardless seem
to be working alright. Don't know if this is the same issue or not, but

After upgrading to Raring, my clock at the top center of the shell is no
longer showing AM/PM time, but rather 24hour time. It is set to AM/PM
time in the date and time settings, but it seems as if that setting no
longer works. Toggling it back and forth does nothing and only

For more info, I have an atheros wireless card in this laptop. Neither

After installing the ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa the flicker seems to have been
fixed. This leads me to conclude that the issue was caused by something
done in the default Ubuntu install of X. However, it would be nice to
see some of the changes with the 1.12 server and drivers to be brought

Yes the bug is reproducible. I actually started using Kubuntu due to
many of the Unity issues, but from what I remember certain times when
you are dragging a window and you near the top panel it would "snap to"

system-settings window in my application lens. These are duplicates, and
I see no reason for the redundancy. Having an extra 27 items in the
applications window (24 from system settings + shutdown/restart/logout)

I definitely think that this is an issue that should be fixed for 12.04
lts. This is one of my biggest annoyances with Unity, and I do not
believe it would be that hard to change. Am I the first person to notice
this issue, or are the shut-down/logout/lock-screen/restart buttons
there on purpose?

The slowness has been fixed with the latest updates to compiz, but the
problem with it incorrectly reporting vesa as the driver is still
present. The new fglrx 8.960 seems to be quite awesome. It is fast, and

implimented! Perhaps the System Monitor should open up, or at least a
link to the system monitor from the window that currently pops up.

I tried the latest 3.3.0 rc6 kernel that you linked and the same problem
was there. There was little to no difference betwen the two kernels when
it came to this crash. The easiest way to cause this crash is to
rearrange the monitors in the display options and press apply. That will

I have figured out more about this bug. Apparently the problem is with
the blur effect in the Unity Dash. When the Unity Dash is opened for the
first time after logging in, whatever the background was for that first
session stays in the dash until logout. For example, if you initially
open the Dash

yes, blur was enabled. After setting it to "smart" in MyUnity this issue
went away.

Unity applications lens has duplicate and un-needed applications

I too have this issue. On Precise I have installed fglrx through Jockey,
but in system settings>details it still says vesa. I do now know if the
fglrx driver is in fact running, but I have 3D acceleration and glx
gears reports 60fps. Also, I can effectively change color settings VIA
amdcccle.

Precise on my laptop adn Oneiric on my Desktop, and both are suffering
