about this bug?
I would really like to install Ubuntu. Any workaround is welcome.

Oh also I would like to point out:
I tried installing Kubuntu because it hung up on "Gnome Display Manager"
However this also yielded a failed BUG: soft lockup detected on CPU#0!

Im sorry but I am completely new to linux so bear with me...
I am not able to access any type of terminal. Linux is not even
isntalled. I cannot do a liveCD boot either. This on the initial insert
of the CD.

OK well, I tried a few different things. In the boot command I tried
"noacpi nolacpi" had no different results. The ubuntu wiki that
screenshots can help you go.
I cannot even boot ubuntu, so I am unable to access the terminal.
Perhaps I am missing something?

Is there anyway to bypass this so that I may install Ubuntu? Is there

Here is the bug in a KUBUNTU Install. Install is AMDx647.04 full
version.
It doesnt hang up on "gnome display manager" now its on a HP acpi.
