I have tested the 3.18 kernel from the repo and the problem remains. The
oops messages are also the same. Since kde has worked with 3.18 in the
past this seems very odd.
I have tried to reset the settings in kde and see if that helps, but no
luck with that.
It could be that the kernel oops are on

kubuntu from today without a problem. However I see also no oops

This issue does only occur if the usb debugging mode of android is used.
In the normal mtp mode I only see a bunch of warnings, but it seems to
work as expected :

After a little experimenting with different android developer settings I
can no longer reproduce this issue. I think the connection loop was

I can confirm this bug in a quantal vbox. In a Precise vbox the unpack
process takes under one minute. Under quantal it takes longer than 5
min. Linux Headers is the only package that has this problem.
