[Bug 301755] Re: Crackling noise after update to pulseaudio

2009-05-16 Thread Ashwyn Falkingham
Just thought I should add that I had the same problem with crackling sound and high CPU usage by pulseaudio after update to jaunty, until I removed the tsched=0 line which fixed the problem. My soundcard is a Via VT1708/A in an MSI laptop. Let me know if you would like any more info about my syst

I have the same problem as Zeus, but I think it is filed under a separate bug report already. It is an intermittent problem, that is fixed by restarting the computer. It will eventually reoccur. I am using an AR242x chip in a MSI VR321 laptop. -- ath5k driver on Jaunty Alpha1 https://bugs.laun

2009-07-22 Thread Ashwyn Falkingham
I can confirm this bug in a MSI VR 321 laptop with AR242x wifi chip. I was running jaunty with a few backports installed, but have since removed all backports and there has been no change. I then downloaded a newer kernel from someone's link in another bug report, but it did not fix the problem.

I've tried installing Martin Owen's ppa version of the wizardpen drivers on two different laptops with my waltop slim tablet, and had no luck. Exactly the same problems as described here. The only thing I can think of is perhaps I've gotten the modifications for the 70-wizardpen.conf file wrong, t
