This seems to be a duplicate of an older bug (#23963, Oct 15th 2005)
that seemed to resolve itself after the user re-installed his OS.

Binary package hint: kmail
When forwarding emails "inline" (ie the default on kmail) to users of
OSX Mail, the forwarded part is either cut off or non-existant. This has
been happening for the last few releases of Ubuntu and continues in
Feisty Beta.

Update: I upgraded to 7.04 Beta (Feisty) and although I've noticed many
improvements in other areas, my timezone is still stuck in UTC.
Please note: I notice that this bug has been marked a duplicate of
#23963 - while I made this similarity clear in my
I followed the instructions and everything went as indicated until the actual
installation of packages. Adept tripped over the libssl package and I couldn't
get it to work afterwards. After trying various ways to get it restarted, I
ended up running Synaptic which ended up installing everything
