I'm running Kubuntu 14.04 on Gigabyte U2442. Installing the 3.15.5 kernel from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ helped.
The touchpad is now identified as “ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad” in “xinput list”,
and all the fancy featutes (including edge-scroll and two-finger scrol

I have this problem, though after that update my laptop didn't boot at
all. It didn't boot with the previous kernel either. I managed to boot
recovery mode and figured out that downgrading from bcmwl-5.100.82.38
+bdcom-0ubuntu6.1 to bcmwl-5.100.82.38+bdcom-0ubuntu6 allowed to boot
normally.

[ 586.199557] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes
in the mainline kernel 3.3.1 there are errors in dmesg, but the
adjustment is working.

cover all the screen, so I went to Firefox, when the note window is on

Now I expected Firefox to go to foreground, but no - the note stayed at

When I pressed the Workspace Switcher short-cut on the Unity bar, I got
the zoomed-out 4 workspaces view, and then everything stuck. Eventually,
I had to re-boot.
