It seems there's another error, the double entry. sudo gedit
/etc/apt/sources.list and delete one of the two lines.
After that, sudo apt-get update.

I ran that line though my system, and I found the final error. :D

I don't think it would be good. The reasons are technical, but your
system is a bit different than I expected.
I'm not sure if you got read my last post at the time you sent that, but
I found the last problem, and was able to add that to my own system.
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
And change

Your processor is a 32bit (i686) and therefore cannot run 64bit. Of
course, 32 but will work just fine for you.

If you wouldn't mind debugging for us, could you try booting a 32 bit CD, open
Accessories -> Terminal, and run sudo lshw -C processor? This should tell us
what Ubuntu sees the processor as.
