I have the same problem, there is no directory called xserver. The file for
the fix, though was found

I've had trouble as well with playing mp3/wma files with amarok, but
then I just converted all of my music files into the .ogg format. Now,
there aren't any problems. Amarok 1.3.9, KDE 3.5.2 Using XINE engine.

I just finished updating kde-systemsettings, and the keyboard shortcuts,
and command shortcuts do not exist anymore. I guess that is the
temporary fix. [21:11,08/26/06]

I simply booted my computer after doing a full update to edgy eft.
The computer gave me the following items while booting as failed:
hardware detection
mounting local filesystem.
I am assuming the second has something to do with the first. I've also tried
booting with the ol

I would encourage you to try out xfree86 driver if you can, it is listed as
solution for Bug #47971. The patch given was
'sudo apt-get install xfree86-driver-synaptics'
install xfree86's driver (and uninstall xorg's)
Then, symlink the driver into it's proper location for xorg by typing
'sudo ln -

I am running Xubuntu Edgy Eft Knot 2, presently. There seem to be no
problems with the system. Therefore, I conclude that the bug must have

The problem is fixed in Edgy Eft Knot 2. Either F1, or the menu can be
used to load the html help file for Dia.

Do you have any kind of special configurations for your root file
system? It looks as if the kernel is having trouble interacting with
the file system. Perhaps adding some files to your report such as
/etc/fstab. I only ask this since I am not having any trouble with a
