This seems to be fixed for me with 12.04.

acroread depends on a large number of :i386 packages that are marked as
conflicting with their 64-bit versions. I thought the whole point of
multi-arch was that they didn't conflict anymore? :(

Removing gstreamer0.10-fluendo-plugins-mp3-partner prior to doing the

This bug also affects me. I am running 11.10 x86_64 with integrated
Intel Core i7 HD graphics. All windows decoration will more often than
not stop updating focus status and also in fact it's mouse over
highlight/animations for the window controls too.
Doing anything that results in the window get
This often effects me. Once it starts doing it the only thing I've found
to fix it is to paste something, delete that, and then start typing.
Seems to work normally after that.

Also broken for me in 11.10.
According to strace paprefs is looking for modules in
/usr/lib/pulse-1.0.0
when it should be looking in
/usr/lib/pulse-1.0
Creating a symlink fixes it for now.
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/pulse-1.0/ /usr/lib/pulse-1.0.0

Binary package hint: xmonad
This is probably not a bug in the xmonad package but does effect some
configurations of xmonad that worked fine in Maverick.
In Maverick I used gconftool to tell gnome to replace metacity with
xmonad. Similar to how things are described here

I've also tried using the .xsession stuff and even created a new
.session file for XMonad. This also doesn't seem to have any effect on
gnome.
