This is the auto configuration of Ubuntu 8.10. Therefore it's a bug in
Ubuntu. And I don't think it's a solution to use /dev/urandom, since
this raises some other security questions.

swap partition is essential for a secured system. It is as important as
data partitions. No offense, but I don't understand why you've closed
this bug when you understand so little of encryption.

I can confirm this. I have noticed that I can speed up the process by
pressing a few times the return key. But the system still hangs for at
least 20 seconds.

I can also confirm this problem on a Dell Latitude E6400. I think the
speakers are also too quiet at 100%, they should be louder. At 60% I can
hardly hear anything.

I can confirm this bug on my Dell E6400. The patch from LKML doesn't
really solve the problem, since the driver has still problems with using
the stick and touchpad at the same time.

I can confirm that Sebastian's patch solves the lost sync issue on my
Dell E6400. Great work! But I'm still having the same problem as Erik
mentioned in comment #81. However, I don't get any lost sync events.
