I'm afraid I didn't figure out in which cases it just shows "New themes
have been installed", and in which cases it asks the user if they want
to apply the new theme, it looks inconsistent. But yes, it's definitely
reproducible.

opening of a folder of 160 000 folders on my desktop, 2.3GHz 2048MiB
