i had the sound go out but the master switch was off so when i turned it
on it worked again.

You could also try to install vuze 4.0, That is what I am using and It
is working for me on 8.10 amd64

I ran a fresh install of Jaunty Alpha 2 32bit as virtualbox guest on an
8.10 64bit host (both ubuntu) and kmouth installed without error. If
however I install kde-icons-mono and then try to install kmouth the
installation fails.

I have this bug in intrepid...What do you want to know...I have a fairly
fresh install but I have added many packages. It may be caused by trying
to use the sessions gui to create startup programs. I'm not linux expert
but I can do what you tell me in console.

As an intermediate user who has recently succeeded in setting up dual
screens in intrepid, i'd like to offer my two cents here. Most novices
are never going to find this menu because it doesnt come in with the
drivers. I had to google deep to find the nvidia-settings package. I ran
into this issue
I haven't tried the workaround in comment 5 as I have switched to
twinview but this bug/missing feature is still present in intrepid
