I started getting the same bug after changing my video RAM options from
Sideport only to Sideport + UMA.
HP Pavillion zv6130us
ATI Radeon Xpress 200M
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
2GB RAM (minus 128 MB shared for UMA)

I just confirmed that the kernel bug and crash on shutdown disappeared
after turning off UMA memory (option "UMA+SidePort").
Specifically, I set the BIOS option for "Video Graphic Mode" to
"SidePort", and the bug did not occur.
I am using BIOS version F.1C, the newest version available from HP.
Similar problem, same hardware. Really low throughput, and my logs are
getting spammed with the following error since upgrading from Ubuntu
MATE 20.04 to 20.10 beta. It worked fine in 20.04:

I manually installed firmware version 5.100.138 using the b43-fwcutter
tool, and my throughput has returned to normal. I recommend that the b43
installer package default to this firmware for the BCM4306 (rev 03).
I still get the "swiotlb buffer" spamming my logs, but that might have
been happening
FYI, I installed 331.20 from the ubuntu-x-swat Saucy PPA, and it
resolved the issues I was having.
