It gives that same type of 'error' message with any file you try to open
with it that it does not recognize. The only reason it tries to open the
file at all is due to the mime-type association in the .desktop file.
For example create a 0 byte file named something completely random, say

Huh, I am not sure what you are saying? Are you saying you opened the
same document twice and editing it at the same time in both and wanted
it to somehow work? If so that just isn't going to work at all. At best
it should lock you out from being able to make changes at all.

I don't remember my original motivation to reassign it to fglrx.
However, it would appear that if the same issue also occurs for huiii
but only when he is using both a specific version of nvidia driver with

What happens if you uninstall openoffice.org-gcj? gcj isn't as good as
default-jre (openjdk) or sun-java and can sometimes cause problem
although it does run faster since it compiles to native code.

I forgot to mention it looks like nothing depends directly on libdrm-
dev, so that probably isn't the source of the uninstallable issue. It
seems if it is libdrm then it is libdrm2 that is not installable since
several things depend on that including libgl.

If you don't want to fix the Gnome DPI setting then don't complain when
things don't display properly. Setting to 96 will help some things look
right but others to look wrong, setting it to the real value will make
other things look wrong and things depending on proper DPI setting to
look right.

I think this bug will be fixed in OOo 3.2 as the table shows up properly
as far as I can tell, I can't even see the table in OOo 3.1.0 at all.
