** Description changed:
[ Impact ]
The version upgrade is needed for enabling the new Intel Lunar Lake and
Battlemage graphics stack
[ Test Plan ]
Intel provides tests in the project. To test with the level-zero version in
my PPA:
sudo apt install -y build-essential cmake
I did the testing on Ubuntu 24.10 in QEMU/KVM setup.
Package version 0.7+dfsg2 is, as expected, unusable, and
0.7+dfsg2-4ubuntu0.24.10.1 is playable.
Testted on levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 24, 29.

special config need via a custom service as I suggested in comment
Hey, this is a change we'd like to do post LTS.
But things always have been too busy and with Sergio looking for other things
time is running out.
It is in our backlog, but not in the immediate "very soon" shortlist, updating
the bug to reflect that :-/

Hi Martin,
first of all sorry and I totally understand that this can be annoying if you
face it and wonder why it fails. I think you bring a nice thought to the case
that wasn't very present so far.
