in kubernetes. As far as I know, the only work around is to downgrade the

Verified test plans E and F on Ubuntu 24.04.1 in QEMU/KVM with a VirtIO
GPU, using gdm3, libgdm1, gir1.2-gdm-1.0 version 46.2-1ubuntu1~24.04.1
from noble-proposed.
Ideally someone could verify on real hardware, but GDM handles a virtual
GPU in the same way as a real GPU, except when both a virtual
@dirksu I don't have a hybrid laptop yet; can you verify test plans A
and B?

verified Test Cases 1, 2 and 5.b on Ubuntu 24.04.1 using gdm3, libgdm1,
gir1.2-gdm-1.0 version 46.2-1ubuntu1~24.04.1 from noble-proposed.
I'm unable to verify test cases 3 and 4 for lack of hardware.

I confirm:
1. the test plan reproduced the bug on current Noble.
2. the test plan no longer reproduced the bug, after installing
xwayland_23.2.6-1ubuntu0.2_amd64.deb
3. "xterm" appears to work still.

It's hard to check which apps still use X11 (and hence help confirm lack
of regres
