I think what might end up happening is, in the short-term, moving the
eol.json hosting to github. That would at least fix the pending issue.
Once that fix is released, we can then work on the patch to use distro-
info-data again.

autopkgtests fail
I installed kernel 6.6.17 yesterday, and fortunately it works here too.
I'm a bit cautious here, as in the past the problems only became
apparent after longer periods of use. Just closing the lid of the
notebook and continuing to work the next morning - I haven't had that
with Ubuntu on this device
I'm flipping this to verification-failed, as the autopkgtests did *not* pass -

And now, on my Lenovo 21N5, I'm experiencing the exact same problem on Kubuntu
24.04, strange that the known problem is still present. I wish i were competent
enough to fix it.
I'm not complaining just wondering how this could be the same issue after so
many years
