Not sure how relevant it is, but **on a booted system**, if I call
`dhclient -v` the Interface gets automatically detected, up and offered
an IP by the DHCP Server in less than 5 seconds (probably even less than
3 seconds ...).
A bit better with `--no-arp` but not by much.

Following the kernel upgrade to around version 5.15.0-83, numerous
computers experienced ACPI error prompts during boot-up. Despite this,
system access remained unaffected. However, after updating to version
5.15.0-106, an increased number of ACPI error messages surfaced and c
I had to reboot my Main Workstation due to some GTK/Mate/Desktop
Environment Issue (maybe related to NVIDIA Drivers ?).
Anyhow I took the opportunity to implement quickly the fixes we discussed:
- `/usr/lib/dhcpcd/dhcpcd-hooks/30-hostname`: `need_hostname || return 0`
- `/usr/share/initramfs-tools
So the good news is that the Fix can be replicated on 2 Machines now :).
ZFS Pool gets mounted at 19.679602 Seconds on the Main Workstation,
while it was getting mounted at 20.698236 Seconds on the Secondary
Laptop.
That's a bit surprising since the Main Workstation needs to unlock 2

connection. Deleted the custom connection and rebooted. VMnet1 and 8
stopped trying to connect, and as a bonus now my KDE weather widget is

Title
I just ran into this issue after upgrading to 24.04. Despite making sure
all packages are updated, it doesn't seem like this fix has reached the
general public. I had to manually download
remmina_1.4.35+dfsg-0ubuntu5_amd64.deb and install it, which does indeed
fix the issue.

Some results from some local testing. These tests were all performed on
the same SD card (a Samsung EVO Select 64GB) with fresh installs of the
jammy and noble server images, after running full upgrades and
rebooting:
Pi 5, noble -- 01:23

I have now gimp package 2.10.36-3build3
and i have done this 4 steps:
+ 1. Install GIMP on Ubuntu 24.04.
+ 2. Create a blank image and draw a black squiggly line in it.
+ 3. Export it as a PNG.
+ 4. Close GIMP, and click "Discard" when prompted if you want to save your
changes.

Install works fine, first boot works fine. Second boot goes to black
screen. Doesn't matter if updates are applied or not. Booting by way of

According to this article, the command hcitool dev should need to
deliver a list of Bluetooth devices. I get this non-result - though I
have been using Bluetooth at the same laptop,
I've done some bisecting and it looks like the culprit is this commit:
