it doesn't seem to help:
I had an incident, where the choppyness didn't go away even after restart,
and also not after adding said option.
It improved after suspending the laptop and waking it up again.
(my grub config is enclosed in the screenshot, I did update-grub and
udpated-grub2)

Well I played with this some more in Hirsute and I wonder if I may have
jumped the gun.
If I give it a minute to idle the power usage drops down to about 11-12
watts, which is about 2W more than using bbswitch or disabling the card
in BIOS.

I think 'backports' would have been a great place to have this behavior
change in Bionic while keep the current one in -updates.
I just came across an email about 'backports' about to die (from
rbasak). Let's see what is the outcome and rely on the flock()
alternative for now.

I gave it a go during Mark's presentation. I am sorry to report it is not
solved.
Wifi6 is freezing on a regular basis, while non-wife6 connections are just
fine.
Here's the dmesg appended.
