persists in the included Deb on Ubuntu
Your are right that Chromium seems often affected, but this is by no
means limited to Chromium. See next screen shot, where Document Viewer
(evince) is affected.

That fix will be included in the next SRU once that fix has been
approved (and merged) upstream, so for now it's better to get a
verification of this version that includes some mayor changes, then
cherry-picking that fix will be an easier and quicker task.
