Hi,
As per subject the most recent AMD CPUs are not fully supported in Ubuntu LTS.
The CPUs do run and work, but a very important feature such as sensors support
via driver _k10temp_ is only going to be present from Kernel 5.10 onwards.
Would it be possible to backport this

I ran into the same problem, and found the solution. Initially in grub2 the
configuration is set to GRUB_GFXMODE=auto. On several systems grub seems to be
unable to autodetect the proper resolution.
(In grub console "videoinfo" returned no (!) output on my system.) After
altering to GRUB_GFXMODE
I finished the process after 13 kernel compilation.

For some reason, since today GDM has ceased to work. No updates came
through as last time I installed any updates was a week ago.
Upon boot, gdm goes to a black screen with a cursor. This screen
flickers to show the underlying tty and on each flicker the cursor
position reset

Looks to me that the two commits do not fit to the bionic version of
opencryptoki, which is:
opencryptoki | 3.9.0+dfsg-0ubuntu1.3 | bionic-updates/universe
because the two files (ica_s390_stdll/ica_specific.c,
ep11_stdll/ep11_specific.c) do not come with an define "libica.so" line at all
and at g

I have built the 2 kernels and can confirm that
b2cc23398e8166b38f8715026273503b081c2a7a is the offending commit.
I have already opened a bug report here :

The current Darktable from the Focal Fossa repo can't be upgraded
because it requires libopenexr25 (>= 2.5.3) and the currently available
one is libopenexr24/focal-updates,focal-security,now 2.3.0-6ubuntu0.2
Can you please update it to >=2.5.3 ?
$ sudo apt upgrade darktable
No migration is blocked on libsis-jhdf5-java failing tests due to not having
enough memory.
The test pass locally and the test script is telling, too:
java -Xmx2048M ...
