Thanks for looking into this bug guys. I'm not sure as to what was the
actual problem. The partitions were established during the install. It
said it would make 2 partitions in /dev/sda as /sda1=boot and /sda2=ext4
I believe. Since I couldn't fix the issue I did a clean install of

of them (in TB UI), somewhat looks strange to me I could do that since

FR langpack. The version displayed in TB UI of this langpack did not

The screen brightness cannot be changed. It is always at maximum.
Strangely enough, it happened once or twice (seemingly randomly) that I was
able to change it, but after a reboot the brightness was again stuck in max.
My machine is a Lenovo T14s ThinkPad with AMD Ryzen 5 PR
I have updated the bios (used WinToUSB to install Win10 on an external
SSD, it works amazingly well). Unfortunately the error messages persist.
As the laptop does work (did not test 3D gaming yet, will do next week)
I suppose I should just ignore the messages.

Seeing as the issue was solved for two other people, I had another go -
this time explicitly installing all mutter-related packages from
-proposed (and not just 'mutter'):
$ aptitude upgrade libmutter-7-0 mutter mutter-common
Lo and behold, the socket showed up:
$ sudo ss -xlp | grep Xwayland
u_
The attachment "openjdk-lts_11.0.9+11_enable-shenandoahgc-on-
amd64.patch" seems to be a patch. If it isn't, please remove the
