When running dpkg-buildpackage, CMakeCache.txt gets generated as

the fileio module which depends on std::filesystem::weakly_canonical

The problem seems to be caused by having two shims, as we get the
"Bootloader has not verified loaded image" messages when loading this
way, but if we instead chainload the local grub directly, things work.
So it seems like local shim does not correctly uninstall and replace

This is kind of expected since it is common that systems from 2011 use
ACPI video interface. You can add the kernel into /etc/default/grub to
make it consist across boots.
I will compile a linux kernel with a workaround of
"acpi_backlight=video" for testing. If this work I can submit to linux

The patch from #19 (which is now in Ubuntu) is not enough - there are
still problems with network-manager-sstp, which calls pptp with "nm-
sstp-service-*".
If there's no better workaround, can the userpeerdns and
000resolveconf scripts at least bail on all "nm-*-service-*"?

This happens on boot, additionally I get a black screen (the boot
happens on, I have an encrypted partition which I can unlock, but
there's no feedback when unlocking). nomodeset works around this
problem.
