at a higher resolution than your screen(s). So that increases the
likelihood of stuttering compared to integer scaling.
That specific issue will never be fixed because it's a required trade-
off to get fractional scaling work

Bionic rev 7906 fails to build against v5.4 kernels, error: linux/pci-

We also recommend upgrading to Ubuntu 20.04 if you can. It seems to have

I haven't seen any similar reports nor any updates here.
Might I ask if you have got any further since then?
Qemu 5.0 is available in Ubuntu 20.10 now, if you are willing to upgrade or
install a test system that might be worth a try (new libvirt is still WIP, but
unlikely to play a role here).

Looks like the fix works. Two rotations happened since I installed the
update and we've had no errors since then.

The fix has been superseded by a security update. In the meantime a
concurrent update of pycodestyle broke the apport build. I have
backported fixes to the build issue from Groovy and uploaded the patch
yesterday. Once the update is reviewed it should be available via the
-proposed pocket.
