This is still broken as of 5.5.10
Probably the only way to get this fixed is via a 3rd party kernel
developer like Ubuntu/Fedora/GalliumOS or something because currently it
seems to be ignored by the mainline kernel devs.
I still haven't had time to bisect the issue and have my kernel pinned
at 4
As this is quite an invasive change I'm proposing that we don't stable
backport this and wait for the 20.05 charm release for delivery into
stable.

Are you enabling the native Wayland backend via the environment variable
`MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1` (or `GDK_BACKEND=wayland`)?

I'm still reproducing this on Fedora 31 with the 6.3.4.2-2.fc31 build.
I think the other sub-bug here is that LibreOffice lets me resize the
window to a size smaller than the UI elements.

I am having the same problem. My work-around was to install XFCE from
the Ubuntu repository. As soon as I logged into an XFCE session instead
of a GNOME session the problem disappeared completely. I think the
people who support mutter have this as a high severity bug.
