I am running Ubuntu 18.04 on a lenovo Thinkpad T490s. I enabled full
disk encryption when I installed Ubuntu. I found that the computer ran
hot and that a process was always running and using 50% of the available
CPU, presumably taking one core. That process was
`/usr/bin/per
The reason this works in MATE (and really everywhere that's not Lubuntu)
is because they don't actually have a fully encrypted system. They're
using LVM to do the decryption after GRUB boots, i.e. /boot is not
encrypted. Calamares and how we have it set up needs to have LUKS
decrypted before gettin
I don't think bnxt_en exposes the disable_tpa parameter. Be that as it
may, I think the tpa_aborts may be a red herring. TPA aggregates TCP
flows and you are seeing the issue with ICMP.
In which direction(s) of traffic flow do you see the losses?

One more thing. Debian testing works fine on the same laptop with the
same bios set and the sleep state settign in this bios is also setup to
"Linux" as per this guide

It was so annoying. Computer wanted to install some updates, I agreed,
computer wanted restart I again agreed. After reboot computer was not
able to boot. I spend almost two hours fix the computer and be able
return to work. Following instruction on this post fix the problem

so figured I should test the latest version of the nvidia drivers (ie 440)...
sadly, I'm having the same result (expect, but this might be an illusion) I got

I have Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS on a 2011 Imac 27.5. The hard drive was replaced on
this machine immediately prior to installing Ubuntu as the original had a
faulty bearing. When I first boot the machine and use it, the fans all seem to
run smoothly, varying speed depending on

I see no evidence of you trying to perform a release-upgrade (ie. bump
yourself to a later release of Ubuntu) which is the purpose of the
ubuntu-release-upgrader package. Thus the package change. If I'm wrong,

It's possible to script something that doesn't touch the multipath
devices in use (e.g., root filesystem on FC/multipath.)
Please run this command and upload the generated sosreport tarball.
Then I can check which/how devices are being used and skip them.
