I updated both Ubuntu and I upgrade FreeBSD to 12.1, but it did not
help. Both system remain incompatible. A serious regression that forces
me to fall back on rsync-backup or ext4-boot with correctly featured
user datapools with large_dnode disabled.

I tested this on Xubuntu 18.04.3, and xfce4-terminal gives the expected
output (like xterm as well). I do not see how this should depend on the
terminal application used. I guess it is pretty safe to use guest
session in Xubuntu.
