That raises a different problem. Neither port of the system NIC seems to
work in the installer. If I boot into the UEFI menu the system gets an
IP over DHCP just fine but nothing in the installer. If I drop out to a
shell and try to bring the interface up ip addr shows a NO-CARRIER
status.

in the get_system_directory() function" seems to be a patch. If it
isn't, please remove the "patch" flag from the attachment, remove the
"patch" tag, and if you are a member of the ~ubuntu-reviewers,
unsubscribe the team.
