Bug is still present in Xubuntu 18.04 LTS. For me it gets triggered on a
laptop when switching between a 16:9 projector and a 16:10 monitor
(since the 16:10 monitor doesn't offer the 1280x720 resolution set up
for the projector).

Yes, GNOME shell 3.32.2 is not strictly dependent on the mutter 3.32.2
snpashot (3.32.2+git20190626-1ubuntu1~19.04.1) nor 3.32.2 as the changes

Ok, looks like I was still running an older firmware version. I upgraded by:
Checking out the ath10k firmware repo

Copying the latest firmware for my card from
ath10k-firmware/QCA6174/hw3.0/4.4.1.c3/firmware-6.bin_WLAN.RM.4.4.1.c3-00035
to /lib/firm

Here is a sample program,

If you change to '-O0', there is no warning. I have x86_64 but I doubt
that matters? The issue is to have the warning

I was hoping the `(void)` would get rid of it for just this case.
