There is no openjdk-8 package in disco, but there is in eoan.

This appears to be a combination of multiple issues:
* Firefox doesn't support hardware video decoding.
* Your CPU doesn't support hardware video decoding.
* Firefox is software-rendered.
So I don't think the high CPU of Xorg or any other related process is
unexpected or a bug. Except maybe
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
