You can try to use `apt install --no-install-recommends youtube-dl` to
solve the issue of too many packages being pulled in. As noted in a bug
in Debian[0], mpv/mplayer are recommended as one of them is needed in

Howdy,
I've looked through several issue reports for that host at around the
time this was filed, there's been several fixes and while test
downloading a video from that site I could no longer reproduce said
issue. The problem is at least fixed in 2019.01.17-1, but presumably
much earlier as well

Upstream ubuntu branch wasn't updated since we synced from debian, so
the branch isn't wrong.
The issue has to be fixed upstream as well, so I'll do that.

I think I am seeing the same or related issue with the ASM1142
controller on my Razer Core Chroma EGPU enclosure. I'm running Ubuntu
19.04, kernel version 5.0.0-13-generic. Ethernet on the enclosure stops
working while downloading large files. Dmesg produces the following
error messages:
