not sure if the sftp code is always buffering - I'd hope if I pass it

What Happened:
When upgrading from 18.10 -> 19.04 about 10 minutes into the upgrade a dialog
box shows up to remove old packages at this point the HDMI output and ssh
servers are disabled so the only way to continue the upgrade is to physically
go to the machine and plug in
Same problem here. Also I can launch a terminal via keyboard shortcuts,
but the focus doesn't seem to get set for the terminal window and
nothing I type shows up in there.
My 19.04 install is not useable until this bug gets resolved.

If upgrading the existing system to 19.04 does not fix the issue, I
don't think that 19.04 could be marked as "unaffected". We need to find
that configuration and make if fixable within usual upgrade process,
The problem still persist for me unfortunately.
I tried everything listed in the above posts, but the error message still
persists.
I can confirm that it is most likely tied to Mint, because I installed ygraph
on Ubuntu on a separate machine and there, it works as expected!

Please add psmouse.dyndbg=+p to the bootargs, boot the kernel, then
upload the dmesg.
After that, add psmouse.proto=bare to the booargs, boot the kernel test if the
touchpad can work or not.

New feature in 19.04 is not working on my system.
As I understand, I should be able to right-click a file/folder and select star.
That option is not available though 'Starred' is now a location in places. This
option is missing under both Wayland and X.

Ivrs_ioapic isn't working with amd-svm and iommu disabled in bios. IMHO
this parameters are not the fix, just a partial workaround.
My last parameters are working with any bios settings and any distro.

This is a Proxmox 5.4-3 VM,
A fresh PyCharm installation is present on the server.
After the bug occurred, the upgrade appears to have completed without
noticeable issues, but I didn't perform an extensive test.
